The term e-penis or e-peen is a term commonly used throughout the internet. Rooted in the common male association between the size of one's penis and their desireability or otherwise, this term is used to describe any number of primarily Internet related topics in a competetive manner. The term is almost exclusively used in a competetive context, and in much the same way that penis size would be compared in such competetive contexts in real life circumstances. The term is purely metaphorical, as are penis size arguments in real life, and does not relate directly to any portion of human anatomy. This term seemed to first appear in popular use around the year 2004. A female version of the term, e-poon has also begun to become used popularly in such communities.

For example, someone who is consistently being proven right on an internet mailing list or message board may be considered to have a large e-penis, as may someone with very rare or hard to obtain items in an online video game.

urbandictionary.com describes the term e-penis as: A term used to describe the technological prowess of an individual (usually within an online or "internet" community). Factors that engorge the e-penis include bandwidth, computer speed, hard drive size, size of dvd collection, and an impressive frag count in any number of popular first person shooters.
